Baby Shower Cupcakes

Faith had her first baby shower cupcake order. Vanilla cupcakes with tie-dye red, orange, and yellow buttercream and vanilla cupcakes with dark chocolate ganache accompanied the very popular Lemon Dream. All cupcakes were situated nicely on a pretty baby shower tower. What a beautiful display!

This Mucho Gusto cupcake has the cooling sensation of lime and the heat of cayenne. What a great combination! Pictured here: Mucho Gusto-white cake, lime frosting, dried mango slices, and cayenne pepper sprinkled on top

Preparing the Cupcakes for the Yard Sale

Preparing the frosting

I had to stir the frosting because it was hard from being in the fridge. Finally the frosting got softer!

Bagging the frosting

After the frosting got softer, I put it in a bag.

Piping the frosting on the cupcakes

I started to frost the cupcakes but the frosting was still too hard, so I put a hot rag on top of the bagged frosting. When I took the rag off, the icing was too soft. I had to deal with it though.

Almost done!

When I was just about finished,  the frosting started melting; it was messy. Part of the reason it was messy was because it was really hot outside.

Here we are!

The cupcakes turned out pretty well, and they must have been good because a lot of people said that the cupcakes were delicious!

First Yard Sale for Cupcakes

On Saturday July 7th, I had my first cupcake sale. I made 48 total, 24Maple-Bacon Cupcakes which were a sensation, and 24 First Kiss Cupcakes. It was extremely hot, so by the middle of the day, they were melting. Luckily, I was able to sell must of them. I am proud of what I made.
